Forced, also known as dynamic cooling, is equipped with a fan that blows the cold air through the cooling. This accelerates the cooling and creates an air flow and thus an even temperature in the cooling. The big advantage of forced cooling is that after opening and closing the door, the cooling is quickly back to temperature.
A static cooling is cooled by the existing cooling element. Air circulation is limited and generated naturally, with cold air sinking and warm air rising. Depending on the zones, considerable temperature differences can occur, the temperature at the bottom of the cabinet will be lower than at the top of the cabinet. Static freezers are less affected by temperature differences due to the fixed racks, which are also cooled. If you intend to fill your cooling with boxes, static cooling is better because with forced cooling, the air cannot circulate properly when the cabinet is full. Even when you cool products that are sensitive to dehydration, it is advisable to purchase static cooling.

With refrigerants, a distinction is made between natural refrigerants and synthetic refrigerants. The best-known refrigerant is perhaps Freon, the (now banned) liquid / vapor in refrigerators.
Refrigerants are selected for their (pressure-dependent) boiling point depending on the application. The boiling point at low pressure should be less than the temperature of the reservoir from which heat is to be extracted and the boiling point at high pressure should be higher than the temperature of the reservoir from which heat is to be released. The corresponding pressures must of course be practically achievable.
Commonly used refrigerants are fluorocarbons, alkanes (butane, propane, isobutane), propylene, ammonia and carbon dioxide.
