Noise tests have shown that the new Dyson Airblade V hand dryer is 35% quieter than its predecessor. This is thanks to:

• precision airflows: the air gaps have been reduced from 0.8 mm to 0.5 mm, so that the air speed remains high while the sound volume decreases;
• aerodynamic engine housing: the propeller and internal diffuser have been redesigned to achieve the quietest possible air flows;
• reprogrammed Dyson digital V4 motor: precisely tuned to 1,000 W (compared to 1,600 W previously), so less air is drawn through the machine overall – creating less turbulence and therefore less noise, while maintaining a fast and hygienic drying time .
