Flat or surface-mounted

Flat: Flat built-in wash basins have a flat edge around the wash basin. This makes them extremely suitable for mounting in such a way that the edge of the washbasin is level with the top of the worktop. A prerequisite for successful installation in this way is that the space for this flange is milled out around the opening of the wash basin.

Surface-mounted: Surface-mounted built-in bowls have a raised edge around the wash basin. Installation of such a wash basin is easier than that of a flat wash basin. The worktop is provided with a hole into which the wash basin fits and the raised edge protrudes above the worktop.
